Even if you do not call the police, you need to do something. I recommend putting up some cameras and padlocks on your coop. If real cameras are too much of an expense, then what about fake ones that look real and a sign underneath that says"Smile your on camera!" ?

I'm sorry you are going through the neighbor saga too. I believe mine poisoned & killed 3 of mine. I still have 3 fighting for their lives. Vets confirmed they have no bacterial infection & so on. Sadly, I did not think I needed a lock for my chicken coop or a motion sensor light. So rig everything up ... add whistles, chains and booby-traps. I sprinkled some oyster shell on a flat piece of wood laid in front of the entrance & husband raked around the area. neighbors suck ...
