It’s Day 21, one chick out of my 2 have piped but hasn’t started to zip at all. He’s been piped in the same spot since yesterday.. should I be worried?
Do you hear any peeps or see any movement?

@Jaxx_ It’s now day 21, so keep listening for peeps and watching for any movement. Keep the incubator lid closed at all times. The little one should hatch today or tonight. As long as you hear strong peeps and see the egg moving, it should be fine. Chicks will rest after the external pip, while they finish absorbing the yolk. Keep us updated.

thank you so much! My one hatched this morning, and the second has pipped. It’s taken him a while but he’s getting there. Should I be worried about the membrane being a little yellow?

It should still be fine. Just keep the incubator closed. It’s not unusual for the membrane to discolor a little when exposed to air. As long as the chick continues progressing, it’ll be okay.
