humidity

I cant keep up my humidity I even filled the whole floor I have tried misting but it only last for 2-3 minutes its a 40 egg incubator but I only have 21 in it would that make a difference

Hi I read your post and it is kind of short of info.
I assume that you have a hydrometer. If so, sounds to me that it is not working.
Go to walmart and purchase one I am not sure where they are, but someone said they are in the home improvement section. I would think the housewares.
WHat are you currently using?

I cant get temp over 39-40
temp is 27.6-28

You definately need to get an out board thermostat/hydrometer as I mentioned earlier you can get them at walmart. If I was you I would shut down the incubator till you get one.
Hopefully you didn't have the eggs in there too long.

Are you sure you are getting power to your heating element?
Seems to me that 28 degrees is about room temp.
I am thinking that you are not getting power to your heating element.
What brand incubator do you have?
Take off the top and put your hand on the heating element. Is it getting warm?
