Hungry anyone?

Yet another predator caught today, about 15 feet away from one of my turkey's nests in the field. This makes 3 in the past few weeks.

Andrew Zimmern had a show on the other night where he ate possum. Any takers?

Creole Possum
1 slightly injured possum

1 cup mayonnaise

8 cups pig fat

2 cups buttermilk

2 fresh green peppers
Method:
Slice green peppers and mix ingredients in a large bowl (exclude possum). Cut possum into chunks or thin strips. Mix possum chunks into bowl. Transfer contents of bowl into a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for two hours. Remove from oven, let sit for half an hour, and serve. ENJOY!!

He isn't even injured, yet. I'll leave that up top you.

I bet it was supposed to be 8 tablespoons of lard, not 8 cups. 8 cups is half a gallon!

Anyway, if I had one, I think I'd personally pass on it. I've always got hungry fruit trees -- nothing like burying something dead under a tree to give it a nice boost.
