Hunters...what caliber guns do you use...show pics if ya have them !

I have a Henry lever action 22 magnum for varmitting (nutria, the occassional possum or racoon).

I have an over/under 20 guage for anything after dark. Usually packed with #4 shot.

And my pride & joy is a Browning BAR left hand action, short trac .243. I use 58-gr v-max for nutria, coyotes, etc. and can go up to 110 gr if I actually hunted. However, I find growing lamb, beef, pork, chicken, duck and goose to be preferable to venison and certainly less work.

I will not post a pic of my weapon. I learned long ago that there are those that do bad things.

I use a 6 mm Remington 700 series with a decent scope.
I find the 6 mm superior to the .243. It is put up after deer season and stored off my property.

Have a little 22 with a laser for the varmits along with a 20 guage shot gun. The wife has these somewhere and I have to keep asking her where she puts them

I also have a saiga AK47 .308 cal for the 2 legged varmits. Fast, accurate and 100 percent reliable.
It stays with me in my truck and comes home with me to bed. This is my rifle, this is my gun......

Ammo has gotten so darn expensive that really I fear the worst these days. Guns and no ammo can be a real problem.

I used a marlin 30-30 for many years with good results. That gun just felt good. But no, I thought I had to have a 243. I have mixed feelings about it. I have done good with it, but I have hit deer that didn't go down quite the way I'd like. When I shot the 30-30 I just knew I was going to hit where I was aiming at. So I know part of it is a mental thing.

I'm 53 now and really do need a scope. Thinking about getting the Marlin out again.

im thinking about takeing up deer hunting so im looking into to getting a remington 700 .308 for deer and groundhogs and fox at 500 yards, and im thinking about geting my gradson the rossi combo .22 20ga and .243 youth he is 9 and wants to learn to hunt so him and i will lear togather.i would like another shotgun for dove but not sure what to get any ideas.
