Oh! I'd love to buy your Sierra Tec. I shoot a Hoyt Ultra Mag that I've had for years. I've shot quite a few deer with it, and I love it. There's nothing wrong with it, so it would be hard for me to justify getting another bow.

How is yours set up for the necessary accessories?

Sounds like a nice rig for a youth or ladies bow. Think my nephew will need something a little "longer."

I still hunt old-school. Longbow made by a local ancient weapons recreator/smith although I do shoot aluminum shafts and modern zwickeys for practical reasons. Traded me for a pile of old charcoal forged wrought Iron I dug up on a jobsite. Pulls about 67 pounds, varies slightly with temp and humidity. Not enough time/land close by to bowhunt the last 2 years. Farmer sold "my" hunting land to a developer and now it's an empty cul-de-sac with only a few token trees. Really sad waste of good land. Haven't had time to get out and find some new land. Just rifle hunting the last few years, but that's fun too. Kinda a family reunion with guns.

Hey, I wanted to let you know I had the same problem with my Hoyt. I wind up shortening my draw length 1/2 inch and switched to the matthews Passion Bow last year. I've had reconstructive surgery on my left shoulder a couple years back so I understand the shoulder pain. But, BOY did it make a difference doing those two changes. I been to several bow shoots with the guys this past winter/spring and I kicked a few of their butts and kept up with the best of em

Don't get me wrong Hoyts are great bows but, I just found the matthews to be more geared towards a womans physic (sp).

I will be using my niece's bow this year. It is a Hoyt Rintec. It looks like a minature Sierra-Tec, just lighter in poundage. I am only going down 6 pounds in poundage, but it makes a huge difference with my shoulder!

Congratulations to your son, Two Creeks Farm! That is such a memorable accomplishment for a young man! Way to go!

I can't remember my exact draw length. I think it's 26". I can shoot up to about 60 lbs, but my bow is set right at 49 lbs.

My bow and my husbands bow look very much alike. I went out to practice one time, and it seemed like I was having to draw back too far and I wasn't hitting well. I don't know how many shots I took before I realized I had picked up my husband's bow!

At that time I hadn't been practicing for a while. I thought I was just out of shape. I think if I had been practicing regularly I would have realized right away that I had the wrong bow. We still laugh about how puzzled I was about my shooting that day.

Boy that is too funny!!! I can tell right off the difference between my hubby's bow and mine b/c He shoots a Hoyt and I shoot a Matthews. But, I did have a Hoyt up till this past year and our looked the same except I'm a shorty at 24 1/2 Draw length and he's like 28 so his bow towers over mine! Not to mention he shoots at 70lbs and I only shoot at 50lbs if I tried to pull that one back I think I'd break!!!

I'm so excited to hear how many woman hunt! I think here in Connecticut I'm a dying breed. I haven't met another woman hunter in my state yet! And, when I go to the game dinners most are shocked that I do hunt and have taken down some Good Size Bucks for my neck of the wood.

our bow season started oct 1st, gun starts nov 15th... unfortunatly, I won't be able to get out until Nov. I finally got my bow set up the way I wanted, and my target fell apart. No bow practice, no bow hunting.

I'm also glad there are more women hunting. I've been doing it 33 years and it was pretty much unheard of when I started! Glad the attitudes changed alot!

I have to add one thing. If you are hunting from a treestand.......PLEASE WEAR A SAFETY HARNESS!!!
