I have been busy the past week and reading to keep up at night....so enjoy the camaraderie here. Too much negative stuff on the news and other social media.
Getting ready for carpal tunnel surgery next week....lots to get done before I'm without use of my right hand for several weeks.
Butchering birds, canning meat and the veggies from the garden, cleaning out beds in the garden, tending the poultry pens and cleaning out the coop...just a few things on the list.
You are my relief!

Will keep you in my prayers, for a safe procedure and speedy recovery, NanaKat. Let us know how you are doing when you can.

We had a Cub Scout camp this summer at the Lomax Arena in Laporte.
It's about 15 miles from me....20ish minutes.

God help me I don't think I could live anywhere, where I had to drive that long to get to someplace in the town I live in. I hate traffic. Even though I live in the city I am 15-20 min from anywhere I need to go in the city.

I love that we all feel the same about this thread and the people in it.
I hope you heal fast....Let me know how it goes...I'd love to have this surgery on my right hand.

I think we should keep this going forever (the longest thread on BYC), I think many of us enjoy checking this thread when we have the chance. Even DH askes what we are discussing when he comes home from work. Sometimes he actually reads over my shoulder and laughs. I know it has been a God send for me at times. Someone said earlier in the thread, laughter is the best medicine, and I think they are right.

I completely agree! Funny you mentioned the DH asking about what is being discussed. Mine did the same thing to me last night (he asked what my chicken friends were discussing) and got to tell him that Kiki had asked about what he made for dinner. He got the biggest kick out of that!
I'm so addicted I have to check in during work now!

okay morning all slept a bit late but able to walk for coffee I do not believe anyone would try to shut the thread down we would just revolt it is a great thread so we wander off the listed subject it is fine we do not get too weird the a little weird bur we do laugh real well with and at that is worth keeping it
