We all have power. We = my neighborhood and my brothers/family. We are not in the boil water zone yet. We have enough water to last a month stocked up. That is one thing I will not run out of. We are still dry.Kiki, something to think about: there won't be anywhere to resupply other than shelters, if you can even get there and back or are allowed to go back home. Not for a while, I'm thinking. Going to be either without water or on boil water orders. That water in your taps probably won't be any good for brushing teeth, doing dishes or laundry, or bathing with either. Too many potential chemical and biological contaminants. You have no garbage disposal, likely no reliable power if you run out of fuel for generator. You'll get steaming hot quickly, with fungus/molds and bugs multiplying quickly. You will need to be alert to looters and wildlife moving in. It'll be a good while before things get close to truly livable.
If you can get to a safe place, just for a while, please consider it.
Let her know that based on current radar she's probably clear for the moment--but thing still has a tail south of her that could swing back.I sure will.I have been texting her and let her know everyone was concerned. And I asked if they needed a supply drop from the Cajun Navy which is when she said to let them focus on rescuing for now. They're still doing fine so far, watching movies and being hilarious.
