He is not a do it half butt kind of kid.
He would do the whole thing if it killed him.

Now I get why you are concerned about parent carved pumpkins. His looks like he put a lot of work into it, and it looks great. Wish I had some great speech for you, maybe you just need to be honest and let the judges know that they should remember this is a children's pumpkin carving contest and no parent carved pumpkins should be awarded prizes as this under mines the whole point of the contest. Good luck.
