I catch myself often leaving out steps, just cause I do them instinctively. Oh, and brown up and toss in that neck as well.

Invariably I have these conversations with DD... She'll ask for a recipe that she's watched me make a thousand times and I inadvertently leave steps out. Then I get the call... "this doesn't look like yours..." my response well did you do ...? Then she politely reminds me that: YOU DIDN'T PUT IT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!

Cone head is learning how to not run into every thing with the monster big cone! Woot!
His cut doesn't look like it is ever going to heal closed though.
