Weather channel says 6 feet of water south of houston. Need everyone who is spiritual to Pray

Hi, I live in Houston, and Hurricane Harvey is heading our way. We are not evacuating, as we have pets, tenants, etc. I think we will be keeping the chickens in the bathroom, we don't wan't them blown away or anything. Do you have any advice on chickens and hurricanes? Topics such as: where to have them roost, eggs, boredom, and any other things you see fit.

lilapot -- I would do just as you planned and bring them into the house. I don't think it's necessary to have roosts, unless you have something handy. You might just geve them a plate with chopped fruit or veggies to keep them busy. Maybe some kind of dangly object to peck at?

If it keeps up we will have water in my house.
10 inches of rain in the last 90 mins.

Water up to your doors doesn't sound good. I would be scared too.

I was awake all night and couldn't figure out why. Maybe I was thinking of all you folks in TX.

I am thinking that they might have had to leave if the rains got that bad. Hoping it is just power outage

Chances are we will not hear from them for a good while,
they are a tad busy dealing with the flooding.
I'm sure at least @KikisGirls will check in if at all possible.
Hoping they are all as safe and as comfortable as possible.
