I agree with this statement but I just hope that the police are more careful there than they were here my husband met a guy in Jefferson Parish prison (when he was there for 3 months for his dwi ) that was 4 years in on an 8 year sentence on looting charges when he wasn't looting a family member had asked him to check on his house for them he had keys to the house and he even had his uncle confirm that he had asked him to check on the house for him but they charged him anyway
That's crazy & sad, shoot I've seen murders get off easier than 8 years. Praying that this doesn't happen to anyone.

Houston we have a problem is right! Lol. The hens name is Miss. Harvey! The water went down on my streets over night. I'm at the grocery store waiting in line now for just over an hour. It's not even open yet. There is still high water rescues going on. The people in line around me: some have houses that flooded...some did not. A lot even list at least on vehicle. No one is at work and everyone is talking about wanting to get back to work. No one has flood insurance. This is just my neighborhood peeps. We all are just fearfully to be alive and not crammed into a shelter right now. I still don't have I turned or TV but I'm over that already. I could be in a lot worse shape. They better have TP left when I finally get into this store. I got DH to paint the bottom half of my dinner room yesterday. Woot woot. I wonder if we can make it to home depot to get some paint for the top half...if they will be open yet. What I'm really hoping is that he is able to go back to work tonight. They had his plant shut down yesterday.
:weeSo glad things are starting to turn around for y'all.

An armed society is a polite society. People in these parts are mostly polite... In general, there is a low tolerance for stupidity here... Why must the news focus on the 1% that aren't socially acceptable?

I'm all for "civility" like this. Intel from partner in the know is that police orders are "shoot to kill all looters", and that'll never make the MSM, and why not? Because the main stream media is propaganda specifically to regurgitate just about exactly the opposite of what's really going on.

Life after Harvey! I know that there must be lots of BYC members who have been effected by this horrible event. Here in the Austin area, we had to deal with lots of wind and only about 7" of rain. We did have to reinforce our half-hoop coop by adding some internal support posts to help hold down the hoop roof from taking off during the high winds. The rain came in the bottom edge of the East side and some on the N and S ends, as they won't be covered until Winter. Finally today I was able to add a layer of new pine shavings, as I am using the DLM for this 273 square foot coop (4 bags from TSC). The girls helped me move it around. They were so glad to be out after 4 days of being cooped up in the coop! I know we were very lucky and I pray for our community who have lost their flocks and coops. I have included some pics of the new layer of shavings!
