I used to work out really hard, and then I'd eat more and gain weight. Now because I'm lazy and don't care I just try to minimize the calories-in part. For example, I mix Riced Organic Cauliflower I get at Trader Joes with eggs. Low cal, gives the meal good texture and makes me feel like I'm eating a lot. My body is so dumb that it falls for this trick.
We use riced cauliflower for jambalaya, (a little different taste, depends on how much hot sauce you add LOL) and cauliflower as mashed potatoes, especially in shephards pie and we can't really tell the difference. Also works well just as a side, rice and gravy or mashed potatoes and gravy.

It doesn't matter how lazy you. The only thing that matters is calories in minus calories out. Fat is what happens when calories in exceeds calories out.

My calories in ALWAYS exceed my calories out anymore. Especially when there are freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, made with dark chocolate chips and walnuts and frozen to the perfect texture, sitting there in the freezer calling my name and BYC alerts that need caught up on lol. I'm not big on M&Ms though like you guys!

BYC has to be about my worst ever addiction.
If one could call this a bad addiction.
What?
I'm learning stuff all day.

X2!

I was don't really good there for a while this spring. I was working out and counting calories, and managed to stop apt 15 lbs. All in preperation for my brother's wedding/our vacation in Oregon. After that, I stopped talking. I'm in trouble again weight wise and can't seem to find the motivation to get back in to it again.

I used to be able to do weight realy easy. Then I had a hysterectomy. Fat clings like crazy now!

Way to easy to gain weight as a working RN, know this from expirence. At one point, many years ago our entire unit was on atkins. LOL We would draw blood from each other every 2nd day and send to the lab for results to make sure no one was having adverse health effects. LOL That tells you how long ago it was.
@Ursuline Chick
Funny how you mentioned Atkins...we were just discussing Phen Phen and Metabolife the other day. One of our visitors, a former nurse now retired and in her 80's, overheard us and said...."oh you girls....back in my day we had black beauties!". Most of us are in our 40's and looked at one another funny. She clarified amphetamine (speed). Well now!
