I wouldn't know if this is true or not.
Is this doc on Netflix?
I often find that site pretty spot on. Movies, well some anyway, tend to over exaggerate--that said they can get pretty wild sometimes.

I have heard of people, here on BYC mentioning to get the Amish to help build coops or get the Amish to help with this or that.
We have Mexicans for that down here.

The Amish are old world Master Craftsmen and they do beautiful work, even though you would never find one of those beautiful pieces in their homes. It took two years, pretty much every weekend chatting with a craftsman in Indiana and he finally invited me to his wood shop to watch him work. Now I'm a pretty good woodworker but not anywhere near where those guys are. I learned more over the course of a few weekends then I'd ever learned, I'm still not skilled at "reading the wood" as he would call it... And if you've ever used a router, imagine cutting a roman OG into Hard white maple, with a hand forged, hand plane. If you can't tell, I find it amazing stuff and that was nearly 40 years ago.
