While I was installing the perches (trying to meet AWA standards) I had lots of help in the way of inspectors. A half dozen turkey's and a handful of chickens. When I got the top perch in place one of my new (going to be a breeder) cockerels flew up to it walked around and started cooing. I guess I passed inspection. btw AWA (animal welfare approved) standards are crazy. 8" from the wall, 18" off the ground and 12" between perches. Sounds awesome to some idiot in an office--but dealing with a cattle panel shelter and all divisions are 5", math doesn't work out so well.
