I'd like to get some..any kind..one day.
My first project is wood burning these pieces of wood I have then my next real project will be a dining room table..
Speaking of which my best friend just send me a picture of a headboard she just made.
It was made out of pine and stained with Miniwax Dark Walnut 2716.
She also went to Ikea and bought a cheap pine dresser and stained it took.
I'm really liking the darkness of her pieces.

My first dozen projects were that color. Then I started to see the beauty within the wood and started going toward natural or light coloration. I about lost it when my realtor, btw he's dumber than a box of rocks but good at selling houses, told me to paint the beautiful maple vanities white. He was right, I was wrong--but it's still wrong to paint beautiful wood. ARG:he

Looks great. Main issue, some woods have no character and you need to give it some. Other woods are loaded with character and all you have to do is accentuate it. Then there's the whole conversation about inlays and other techniques to drive out the uniqueness of a piece of wood. Things like dyeing.
