I just watched a Bizarre Foods where Andrew Zimmern and some other guy were pigeon hunting at somebody's farm. And they got the littler ones... Roasted them on a fire. Guess it was tasty.. they said it was.... Never had it before.

During the middle ages in Europe squab was pretty much the only fresh meat available to many during winter. Earlier the aristocracy constructed elaborate dovecotes to raise squabs and to harvest the very valuable pigeon poop. Commoners were prohibited from keeping pigeons.

My first business cards were run on a small press, the guy was a friend so he let me do the type setting--but he ran the cards as I couldn't get the inking right.

Well, today was the day to upset the pecking order. New kids (RIWs and tween turkeys) got released into general population. RIW's had already decided who they were going to challenge and went right for it. The whole pasture was in an uproar for a good hour... I stayed with them the first hour and then checked on them about ever hour after. Last check, everyone's in their own little groups lounging around the pasture... Success!:wee
