What a friend! I have several friends. But only a few good friends. A friend will help you move. A good friend will help you move bodies.

Not that I've ever needed a good friend. Not admitting anything here. Just "saying" in a purely theoretical sense for sake of the discussion only.

Lazy day here...got our flu shots.
Eggs from Indiana arrived...two days late. They have rested all day and just set them under a nice broody hen...hoping all 13 hatch...but will be happy if at Leat 6 do. These are Columbian Wyandotte from a breeder who has had the breed for 30 years. Hoping for a few nice big roosters to improve my breed line.

I had Coturnix quail for two years. Ended up putting all 75 in the freezer, pickled the eggs. Noise isn't offensive, but they spray their poop everywhere and mess up their water several times a day...try to train them to nipple water bottles if you can. Protect your walls...their poop stains are hard to remove.
Had pheasants too....that's a long story too.

i have quail, they make weird noises
dont have pigeons, so i cant compare

I just stuck mine in a HWC pen... They're easy to set up for. Not $$ like chickens.

My cages were stainless steel stacks of rabbit cages.
