so you have to do the 3x3 first
so then you have 3+9-3+3=
12

you go left to right, you dont actually do the addition and subtraction in that order
but Jess, i understand why you are getting that answer
you are looking at it like (3+9) - (3+3)=
so 12-6= 6 i get it!!
but PEMDAS
multiplication/division and addition/subtraction should be grouped together and done in order
sorry didnt mean for it to be a complicated answer

Lol, it's good. I loved math but I never quite figured this out. I was better at finding the value of x

Darn, I guess I will miss my run today...

Very sad about The loss of life and homes. This is the first time that I remember a large part of a City being destroyed by a wild fire. It reminds me of the picture of the 1906 San Francisco earth quake

Another something to learn today:

Toucans make their homes in holes in trees. They usually live in pairs or small flocks. White, glossy eggs are laid once a year and when they hatch, the new chicks have no down covering them. Toucans are found in South and Central America in the canopy layer of the rainforest.

I didn't learn order of operations... or at least, if I did... I barely passed that class. and it was (omg, I'm gonna cry now) 23 years ago
