off to auction have to get some decent eggs to eat my girls are all molting or not old enough to lay had to buy eggs at the store last week we eat allot of them moved two eater egger from the new to the main left the two smaller one to grow up with the silkies in the new coop

I'm in the same boat. Everyone quit laying when I changed their feed and then the adult girls all went into a molt. The oldest of the new pullets are 23 weeks old. A couple have started singing the egg song, but no eggs yet. Nice bright red combs and all.. I'm just hoping this cold spell and shorter days doesn't put them off until spring. ARG

Caught another possum this morning, saving him to see if they want him to be in the movie when we release him. If not he may end up in the great possum hunting ground in the sky! See we really do have a possum problem here. Don't expect to get any eggs today! At least all the girls are okay.
