I had an unwelcome visitor late last night/early this am... A young black putty cat with a white stripe down its back wandered into the front yard. I spent a good twenty minutes trying to decide whether to end it or let it be. Finally left it be.

It's not so bad. Lots of places don't have electricity around here---solar is the way to go. As for city sewer, NOBODY has those.

I'm on well water as are all others in my area.

It's actually much more moderate in the maritimes than in, say, upper AB. There, you'll see temperatures about -80F.

Fort Chippy, AB was where I saw the -80 forecast last winter... can't access it by anything other than winter roads. Windchill of colder is common. Makes over here seem FL-like.
