The whole Christmas decorations up after Halloween vs. Thanksgiving issue actually made it to our local radio station Friday. The radio host was offended her neighbors had their Christmas lights up on Nov 1. It turned into a big call in show on who does what. Consensus is after Thanksgiving though....
I promise I usually wait until after Thanksgiving...
y'all are making me think I need to put it back in the attic for a few more weeks...:hit

the way the world is today I am not surprised we have folks here putting Christmas lights up now ... someone needs to fire the hate mongers stirring the shit buckets but fact is many want the drama they like it JMHO
I don't want any drama.
I just feel like putting my tree up this week..no real reason why.

No drama. Do as you please! I reserve the right to moan and complain though.

I just won't be popping over for dinner for the next 2 months. :D

Round #2 of chicken & pumpkin soup. Better with mushrooms!

Unfortunately, this was the last hen. I'm getting better at stove top cooking with these girls. Think MIL called this a pot roast.

1 Hen and oil to brown. Add a carrot and onions and over low fire cook for an hour. Turning every 20 minutes to cook the skin.

Add 2-3 cups pumpkin (fill the pot) and let the pumpkin cook down for an hour. Pumpkin reduces in volume by half. For the last 30 minutes, add bell pepper, mushrooms, basil and rosemary (from front garden). Salt and pepper to taste. I add 2 jalapenos whole and pick those out to eat with my portions.

The hornets in the front drive fooled me. The cold weather had them inactive. Now that I need the garage, the little buggers won't let me near. Haven't been stung in a decade and I've gotten hit 3 times this year.

@KikisGirls That cake is beautiful, wish I could decorate like that!! It is so realistic, down to the pigs in the mud puddle. One question though, what is the dark blue and green stuff between the animals, please don't tell me it's poo!!!
