Was anybody else watching the Dud thread on the egg laying board? Were we really that mean to the one with the rooster? that she left? I hope she doesn't leave BYC, there's so much good info here, and good people!

that thread, and the person was Jessica Thompson... her chicken was on the first page. Her getting upset by everyone saying its a rooster, is on the last two pages.

Good Morning and a very merry unbirthday to all!

The yolks are starting to look darker in the pullet eggs. I'll blame the pumpkin input. They are still chewing up the pumpkin from the weekend. I'll have to give more to the dogs since they've finished theirs already.

New recipe for me.
When cooking eggs, I put a dallop of steamed pumpkin flesh and warmed/fried it. Added salt and didn't really brown it. Put on a plate and top with honey. Cinnamon and sugar was also good. Didn't really expect this to taste so good with eggs in the morning, but it does.

The candied pumpkin was appreciated, grudgingly. Crazy Lady still wants candied sweet taters. Some people are spoiled! Even with the ghost shaped marshmallow peeps melted on top. LOL.

No one was mean..she just couldn't take the truth.
Some people just don't do well on these type sites, where they just aren't always right, and their feelings get hurt.

IMO she is a teen...you know when they usually think they are right/correct about EVERYTHING.
Hopefully she learns something from that thread, and soon.

I am not a fan of babying someone when they complain about their feelings being hurt over facts....something we just can't change for them.

Get over it.
