Well, I'd rather be in a Hurricane than an earthquake or tornado.
I've been through Hurricane Hugo, Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Bertha, Hurricane Fran, Hurricane Floyd, Hurricane Isabel, Hurricane Alex (my car actually ran out of gas while I was 7mo pregnant, I had to walk a mile in the storm before someone would help me, where I was, it was noting more than winds with a sprinkle, in between the rain.), Hurricane Frances (tropical storm when it hit us), Hurricane. Hurricane Ivan (tropical storm conditions), and alot of other lesser known storms. Y'all will be just fine up there.
Just put some paper tape * and X's on you windows, get some Ice, candles, and other stuff just in case of a power outage.
We used to have hurricane parties, but when you seldom get them, they're kinda scary
