Hurt dove?

Do you have photos? What color is the bird? Does it look more like this:

These are all pigeons, which I think could be what you have. The only reason I think you may have a pigeon because you said it is calm. A wild dove would not be calm, injured or not. But pigeons, whether a lost domestic one or a feral one are often very trusting!

I don't have experience with doves, but often "doves" are actually pigeons! Thank you for the tag!!
Your birds are very pretty!

I totally agree, I thought the same thing. I don't have much experience with doves or Pigeons so wasn't sure.
You should consider raising them! The opportunities are endless with them. From racing, to meat birds to genetic experiments to showing (I LOVE showing! Breeding to the standard of perfection is so rewarding!)

If you have questions, ask away!

thanks. I take pride in them. Just to show off my birds, here's a few more ;) I hope no one thinks I am hijacking the thread!

Wow, yours are beautiful! I would love to raise pigeons some day! That would be super fun! I'm a minor, but am 100% going to be a vet, and I want to raise all kinds of animals, and definitely horses, so maybe they could have the top half of my barn lol!
It would be so fun to raise them, I will totally consider it as a future project! They are so cute!

Hey I’m so sorry I was out for the day and I just got home, apparently something got to him while I was gone so he’s gonna have to be isolated by himself again sadly but here’s what he looks like. He is very calm and is a very beautiful color of white and light brown. He/she is very beautiful and I would highly consider just raising him as my own at this point.

Well, its defiantly a dove. And I bet a chicken got him. :(

Im pretty sure its a domestic dove due to its color actions. So, i would highly recommend keeping him as a pet! Good luck!
