HorseJody, can you call them up and have them switch out my husband?

He does put up with my crazy obsession, but doesn't do much for enabling, lol! He did build me the ICU pens though, without me nagging...actually wanted him in the house several times to help with boys when he was in the garage building them. And the pens are in his garage

He does complain about the smell, but hasn't kicked them out as of yet.

Katy, that sounds so much like what my DH would say...he** would probably be too nice of a word though

I haven't been bitten by the silky bug yet though....

I always swore I'd never have silkies...thought they were the oddest little chickens. Then I bought some hatching eggs on a whim.....they definately grow on ya. I've got more eggs in the bator now.

LOL I was holding my daughters cochin which we have had all winter and hubby was like where in the heck did that bird come from . Now the kicker is he has been my screen saver since I got him so everytime hubby gets on the puter he looks at him . What a dork lol He is also a horrible infulence . We went to a show in oct and low and behold there was a Rhode Island red roo in sale row and he just had to have that roo even though I was like" I dont want one of those " We got the roo (happy we did he is a big sweety) and Now he has me ordering 50 RIR pullets lol such is my life >

* (sigh) What did I do wrong?? Mine works, and watches any old stupid thing they have on TV whether worm-wrestling, reruns or infomericials. Other than that. . . . . Piffel; Pretty much. I mean-- even my grass is pushing a foot plus cause the mower is broke over a month now-- and he's a mechanic!! I may have to hire a burgler to steal the TV & the bed, I think. LAST NIGHT he's watching some speculative idiocy on "the lost years of Jesus during the escape into Egypt". . . . . COME ON!!!!!!!!!

My DH is always going on about how it is my hobby and threatening the kids that if they don't make sure that coop stays fluffed that the birds are going to disappear... He is all talk.

Yesterday, he went out of his way to follow me to the neighbor's house. His big question was, "When are those eggs due to hatch that you got last week?"

I just kind of stared at him and asked why. Apparently, our very lonely goose that has a crush on him, was following him around as he was clearing trees and when he wouldn't pet her, she goosed him. So for him, it is a top priority to get her a couple of friends as he doesn't want her to be so lonely (she is one of his favorites now.)

He also has a request list of at least five types of birds he wants... would never know that birds use to give him the heeby jeebies.

And they say women are hard to figure out?

LOL...I told hubby that the feed store was getting their chicks tommorrow but we didn't need those kind and he says....come on go get a few! Yep I think the aliens visited here too. I can't lie my hubby is a big time enabler.

Well, I think I traumatized DH last night. I had him help me vaccinate the new babies we bought at Bomgaars. My neighbor is usually my partner in crime for shots. Her son is home from Iraq, and I didn't want to bother her. So DH got the job of helping me. He was the holder. I was the shooter. You should have heard him. "They're too tiny! That's going to kill them! What if we do it wrong! They're crying! Now they're going to hate me!"
