I have one of those husbands
He has built me 4 coops, and even though he says they are MY chickens, and he could care less about them...well, one of the hens is smitten with him, and follows him around when he is outdoors. This has made him pay closer attention to the others, and he watches them and laughs (and comes to find me to come and see the funny stuff they do). I have chickens in the house at the moment (he bought me an incubator, and then built me another one - after he said I really didn't need them) and he checks on them more often than I do, then comes and finds me to give his report on how the chickens are doing
.
I saw some chickens that were absolutely adorable, at the auction - I said no, I really shouldn't, and he says "you know you want them, so buy them"
but I hear at least once a week that I have too many chickens.
I wanted a couple of donkeys - we now have 9.5 donkeys. One of them is "his" donkey
, he drove 3 hours away to pick him up.
He didn't want pigs - he has built me a very nice pig pen (we are gonna buy feeders soon).
Oh, and those donkeys are getting into one of my coops (it is in their pasture, after all, so fair game, as far as they are concerned) so as soon as we have a nice day, he is gonna build me a fence to keep them away from the coop
(of course, that one I had to threaten to do it myself, first, then he decided he'd better do it).
Oh, did I mention he washes my dishes every night?
I am so spoiled, and I love it
