Caught her next to my 3.5 year old french copper marans and he's huge! So 19 weeks old husky red.

She was on an upper perch when I went into the run this afternoon. It was like being eye to eye with a beach ball. When she jumped down to a lower perch, an old ladder, you could actually FEEL it! LOL. She's such the dainty thing. (NOT)

Nah. We'll use her as a layer. It's a dual breed, we picked eggs. She's a gorgeous specimen too.

for 'meaty' birds.

How is she as layer?
Dual purpose birds often do neither eggs nor meat very well.

We might hatch a few to see what her males for Roos are like, but no. No breeding for eating, but I haven't firmly decided on that yet either. LOL.

She's not laying yet. She's only 20 weeks old. He breed does 190 eggs a year and big ones. She's earned her keep for entertainment value alone so far.

6-10 weeks seems to be optimal
