Hutch Cover?

my brother is complaining of my poor rooster going off at 5am and he's beggging me to shut him up so i was wondering if could out blankets over their hutch or will i suffocate them? is there a way to block out the light? i heard/saw something about a hutch cover but didn;t wanna pay $20 for a hutch cover or shoudl i?

I am not so sure that keeping him dark would keep him from crowing.

Maybe rig up a temporary something that you can try just once to see.

If it works, then you can bother with something permanent.

For temporary...could you just use a thick blanket?
 
Tell the guy to wear ear plugs if he is sensitive. This is nature, it happens and he needs to deal with it! lol, he can use a fan- white noise, radio what ever! Grrrr. lol
 
lol, i would but my whole family suffers!!!!
if i did though would they be suffocated? what if i had a fan in there and the blankets on still?
 
they wouldnt suffocate. People put covers over parrot and bird cages all the time to keep the birds quiet and calm.

Just dont expect it to work. Fred would crow at 2am some days. No sun at 4am:rolleyes:
