I have a question, any help would be appreciated.
How do you know if your birds are "pure: I have several pairs of reds, yellow and amherst (inseperate pens), their color (appearence) is correct, they all have produced chicks the last 2 seasons and the chicks are colored "corectly". The chicks (now grown) have produced young, if these "chicks" are correctly colored, can I assume my birds are "PURE"?

so someone is sending me eggs from a red golden and a ringneck pair. sounds like this mutation will be infertile correct ? also what if the one chick that hatches and grows up looking red goldenish and real pretty and i breed it back to a red golden that i pure breed do you think i can get nice chicks or are they infertile also ? thanks for your time
