Hydronics in built in brooders?

Texas Kiki they are beautiful!!! I am raising the jumbo coturnix mostly. I keep considering getting a few rare eggs but not sure if they’d be as profitable. So tempting though...plus I just like to hatch things.

How are you going to heat the water running through the pipes and what kind of circulation do you plan on using?

Those sweeter heaters are not as expensive for their size as the smaller brooder plates.... maybe an option?

I would think if the heat is on the floor you may want the cave just for them to have a place to huddle but it doesn’t also need to be heated. It also may hold in heat. Can you control the temperature of the piped?

He is going to use an insta hot water heater I think ‍ I honestly don’t know all the code on how it is done but there is a heat source and it pumps somehow. Sorry I do the paperwork side of the business...if you wanted a permit for it I could whip that out right now!

I am not sure if I will be able to adjust the temp for each box though...I asked that this evening and he said that would be a lot more work but we could loop it so some boxes would always be warmer than others

Ok, I understand exactly what you plan on doing.... you could also potentially rig it for cooling too!....also understand who really runs the business!

Heating the entire floor might not be wise, as they do need cool spots too(which I bet you know already), so maybe only run the floor heat in the center or on the outside, leaving part of the floor cooler?
