Hypnotized chickens

Cute story...I went out back to check on the chickens last weekend and found all 5 in a row staring straight ahead. They stayed like that for another 20 seconds, then came out of it one by one. I haven't been able to figure out how they got hypnotized, and I don't know how long they were standing there.

Yeah, they can get freaked out at something and stare for long periods of time. I have seen my birds to this, but I have never figured out what had them staring like that. Cute!
