I’m new to this, Is this an Australorp Rooster?

Ooh. I get it. I was asking for the tail so that I could see if it was a hen or a roo, as I find that a reliable method for all my birds exept the silkies.
I used this method on my Araucana as well. I have since got out of that breed though because seems I never hatched anything but males.
 
Wow how lucky! Not everyone gets kangaroos when they buy chicks!
Is it really lucky? You know how big of a brooder you need for those?
D@mn things will hop out of anything without a secure lid.
Then they want to play hide and seek on you with the pullets.
You'll do a head count and notice someone is missing. Then after tearing the brooder apart searching one will pull her out of their pouch.
Makes you want to wring their necks.
