I’m not Mother Nature, but..... My journey hatching broody and bator chicks

Pics
What does green liquid mean?
The string holding it got smaller and smaller, but as the glib dried out it was harder for the chick to pull around. I was able to pinch it into. It squirted out clear, green liquid. It has a small protuberance from the umbilical area. Does that need attention?

And yes, I got to see this little “dangler” hatch and videoed it too. There is one more I’m gonna try to video. It doesn’t appear it’s far behind.

Is it taboo to move the hatchlings over to the brooder underneath the heat plate to finish drying? The heat plate has been on for two days and it set very low to the bedding (has paper towel over the bedding) so they could just crawl under it for more warmth (less air since there’s no fan).

Even though the temp of the bator is 100* they are shivering at times.

Best to leave the in the bator for at least a few hours, IMO.
They can have some odd movements at first.

Not sure about the green goo.
Sounds like abdomen isn't fully closed?
A bit of abdominal bugle is not uncommon.
If you can take pic, it might help with diagnosis.

It’s not really goo. It was a clear liquid that shot out as soon as I pinched the cord holding the dangler. The liquid shot straight into the water reservoir. There may have been just a tad bit of solid that is in the reservoir as well. The chick does not act any different than the other two in the bator with it. However, its fluff will need to cover its little bump before it can be put with the others in the brooder.

This is all there is to the green liquid. The bit of solid that accompanied the liquid is in the bend of the reservoir channel.

This pic was taken right after it hatched. I believe the dangler made the umbilical opening protrude some. It isn’t severe at all, but still it’s there. I will get a better picture of it once the chick is dry.

Doesn't look bad...have seen much worse close up just fine.
Not sure bout the liquid-'gunk'....there's a lot of detritus during hatching,
things can get quite stinky in there with the heat and humidity.

This little one has me a bit worried. It has pipped but still seems to be encased in the inner membrane, except for his beak and nares. How long must he stay this way while enduring all the pecks from the others? Is this one that could possibly be helped a little by me?

I would help by cracking the shell (outside) and leaving membrane.
