True..true..

I'm still wondering what your definition of PC is? It is something that varies from person to person so I like to know where someone is coming from. Not wanting to argue or anything, I just find peoples different views fascinating and love learning about people.
I see PC used a lot and it almost always means something different for each person who uses it.

PC is all in the eye of the beholder. I have never considered it to be a matter of everyone having the same attitude. PC is just a fancy term for being a considerate person and keeping your bigotry and prejudices to yourself.

When I was growing up it was ok to use the N word or to call someone with a disability either mental or physical some pretty cruel names. It was also common to call people that were different in any way some kind of unflattering slang name. PC is a good thing. It helps people to remember that bigotry is not acceptable in public.

Some people would just be happier if we could just "put everyone back where they belong" instead of being sensitive to the needs of or respecting others. I agree they get a little carried away sometimes but that's just one of those human condition things. I'm happy about PC myself. Even though I'm a white heterosexual male. So I get no benefit at all except to feel better about my fellow man or woman.

The only reason I would ever want to go back in time would be to make some wise investments.

As I reflect upon this thread, I am reminded what makes us American is our passion for what we as individuals believe and those believes are as diverse and varied as our cultural and ethnic backgrounds are..

Our differences are what we have in common....

I believe it is what makes us a proud strong people.

This is the exact reason I made this post. I had just heard on the news that the New York Stock Exchange might be bought by the Germans. That kind of stuff can get you down a bit...but we will pull through and come out even better I believe. We haven't been through hard times like these in quite awhile, maybe since the great depression. But it takes times like these to show what a country is really made out of. Will we be beaten down and give up? Or will we pull through and be stronger for it? America as a whole was getting a bit lazy, and apathetic from being on the top for so long. Now that we are knocked down a peg, it's time for us to really shine.

Congratulations, you can use google and find a couple bad things about america. Well, I can too and their are good things about us as well!

http://www.phillytalkradioonline.com/comment/10-great-things.html

How about we STOP using the internet to rationilize our opinions and actually DO something about the obesity rate, or americans math skills? And like I said to a previous poster...Visit another country and see how we compare, maybe you will stop complaining about how horrible America is?

And thats my rebuttle. By the way regarding to my link, Dinesh D. Souza is probably up there with the smartest people in the world right now. Hows that for finding credible sources?

The only attack I saw was an attack on american pride and what I was trying to emphasize in this post.

"We are not what we use to be,we realy don't have much to be proud of right now."

Should we not be proud of our nation?

Is it really THAT bad here?

Let me know which facts are wrong with my link and I will IMMEDIATELY take the link down.
