I'm a total newb but have you used the DE that everyone seems so found about?
DE can help prevent them but it won't do anything to get rid of them. I am using poultry dust, ivemectin and the stuff that starts with a P. They get something every other day and the coop is getting cleaned and treated weekly.
PDZ? I'm not real familiar about DE but I'm learning. So getting rid of them means bathing them and what else? I'm curious for future reference

permethrin
Once they have them the only way to really get rid of them is with chemicals. I do use sweet PDZ in the coop and run too. It helps keep it dry and smelling fresh.

PDZ is one of the only topics I actually understand on these forums lol but I'm working on it
My parents have a horse so I'm familiar with the product never thought to use it with the chickens but it's a great idea! Where do you get yours? Back home they sell it in the feed store but where I live my feed store is tiny and they don't have it! They don't have DE either, but I'm gonna check at a couple of nursery's maybe they will. No TSC here in far west TX sucks. Sorry for thread jacking guys I'll shut up now
