How is it people have call ducks in colder places and they are laying but not in Texas?

I wish I knew, ducklover1.
This is the first laying season for all of my ducks, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not????

As soon as kids are asleep I'm going out there with the flashlight... My juvie pen is close to the house so I'm not as scared to go out there as I am to my chicken coops which at the back of my property too close to the woods for my liking! But hubby put them there and too heavy to move now!
