I know! Call ducks are already one of the most adorable things that God graced this planet with and you add a fluffy top knot on their head...the cuteness hurts my eyes!
I saw some at a show last weekend and my DH said, "NO".
That is just not right! Doesn't he know that you NEED them?
He's getting ready to find out-some of the Call eggs I bought off of ebay are crested, sooo...
He's really pretty indulgent with my Call obsession(he actually has 2 pairs of his own and his beat mine at the show this past weekend).

First, you need another incubator. Then, the finger will magically heal, and will resume it's normal activities.
Unfortunately I don't know how to get hen-only eggs. So far I'm batting 50/50 in that area.
If anyone has any secret information about that, please share it with the rest of us.
My Mom has always said that her Grandpa used to tell her that if a egg was really round at the end opposite the aircell it was a hen and if it was really pointy it was a rooster. I dont know if its true or not
No eggs today. I am hoping for delivery tomorrow so I can set on Thursday for the Chinese new years hatch.
And my ducklings arrive on Friday. My postal gal is the BEST!!!! We are on her route late in the day, but if she sees my eggs or my ducklings, she is gonna make a special trip for me first thing in the morning.

I was lucky enough to see my mail carrier today, and I gave her the heads up. That is when she offered to make a special trip. She LOVES to see pics of my chickens and ducks. I really appreciate her too.
