I accidentally bought some eggs! Oops!!

See, this is a HUGE part of my problem, my husband loaded the incubator in the bed of our truck and carried it home. ENABLER. I didn't have to sneak. He helps me regulate it and watches the humidity and everything.

How am I ever supposed to get past this when I live with someone like that????
He even helps out babies that are having trouble hatching.
I'm really blessed that he is so supportive of me and all of my birds.

You are a hopeless case with a hubby like that

Mine got me an antique cabinet bator but hasn't rewired it yet, it's been sitting in the garage for a year.

I can't stop myself. I'm addicted to chickens. No, not eating them. Hatching them. Collecting the eggs. Watching them scratch and peck. Listening to them coo and trill and cackle.

Ay yi yi ... I need help.

No cure, huh?

Um, would someone please tell my husband that not only do I have this disease, but I ordered another 25 chicks for Feb delivery, and I need him to help me build a chicken condo in the garage? Oh, and to put in a dog door in the garage for the chickens to get out.

Anyone?

OK, OK, I'll do it.
Ahem,
Dear Mr. MyKidLuvsGreenEgz,
I am writing in regards to your wife's obsessive need for baby chicks.
Please understand that she simply cannot contain herself-it's a compulsion over which she has no control.
If she is unable to continue to hatch/obtain baby chicks, the end result won't be pretty-do you want that on your conscience? I think not.
Therefore, I respectfully ask that you build a chicken condo in the garage(heating/AC optional) and, oh yeah, don't forget the doggy door in the garage so the chickens can get out.
Just so you know, she has already sought help on BYC...great idea there, huh?
Oh, one more thing...she ordered 25 baby chicks to be delivered in February so you might want to hop to it on that chicken condo.

There ya go, just have him read that.

My goodness ... you all are gonna get me divorced! eAST: uh, nicely worded. Maybe I'll print it out and hand it to him the day before the chicks are expected to arrive! Or now that we're hatching about 18 chicks with a new-friend's incubator, maybe ...

Okay, I'll try to confess this weekend. When he gets home and finds I've made room in the garage for yet another project!

(well, he DID love our baby chicks last Spring but not as much as I did ... weirdly, we really enjoyed doing nightly pasty-butt checks!)

Thanks!

Vikki
