I accidentally bought some eggs! Oops!!

I fessed up to hubby last night and told him I ordered 25 chicks for delivery in feb. And told him he needed to build another coop, and help me refurbish our brooder coop (where they go to when they are a couple of weeks old). Bought a tub from wally world today to make the starter brooder coop, that we also plan to use when we have a silkie go broody. and so far i've collected 6 eggs to go to the incubator saturday late afternoon.

whew.

I feel like an expectant mom, and we haven't even started incubating them yet! i have the FEVER!!!

Let the craze begin. I have fried up BOTH incubators, bought a turner for my LG, and I am currently calibrating the ole' hygrometers

. Hopefully my eggs will be here Saturday and then next Thursday I get three more dozen and then a friend of mine (a total enabler) is saving me some of her eggs that are fertilized by a rooster that I gave her last year. Then I ordered two dozen Wyandottes to be delivered after Valentines day when my bators will be empty. I'm gonna be swimming in cute little chickies

OK, to hold everyone over until their chicks hatch/arrive, here's a picture of 2 of my Lemon Blue Cochin chicks that hatched out on January 3rd. I think they're adorable.
