My sis sent me a video of a woman who was SO funny. One of the things she talked about was "the talk" that when girls go through puberty, they are "becoming a woman". She said "when you go through the change of life, they don't tell you what you're becoming.."

Ok ladies tell me does chemo make your cycle stop or not?? I read it makes you sterile and you go into early menopause but then that you're sterile but you still get your cycle then that some women had kids after chemo (that last one I don't believe) .... So what is it.

Well, Ann Jillian (an actress) had breast cancer way back when the chemo was more likely to kill you than prevent the spread of your cancer and she had a baby a few years after her treatments

I think it all has to do with the type of cancer and the type of chemo. It's not something that I had to think about. All the "plumbing" was gone before I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I know Lance Armstrong had testicular cancer and he knew he would be sterile, so he saved his "stuff" so he could have children later. And he did.

But his wife at the time had to endure all those shots with a giant needle because she was doing the IVF. It worked twice for them.

I already had my plumbing removed and was past all that meno junk anyway.

How is it going since you've spoken to your friend IHWIMY ?? Hopefully she'll feel better about things and realize what a friend she has with you.

Yesterday was a good day, the weekend had been fairly pleasant. Today not so good. She won't go for any support so I gave her the book I am NOT my breast cancer so today she said this book is nothing but a **tchfest and I simply don't need that! I said its idea was to let you know that there are other women who feel pretty much whatever it is you are feeling. She countered with "Well, I want something constructive, information I can use, not just sitting around whining." I drew a deep breath and told her (again) that there are many forums on line that she could get onto where she could actually talk to people and not just listen and she would not have to stay if it was turning into a whinefest. Can any of you ladies suggest any? Other than here!?

Then she started in on my problem with my driveway. It is a stupid mildly irritating problem. It would be easy to fix in several different ways if I had money and time. I have neither. But, she went on and on about why I wasn't fixing this issue and coming up with more and more ideas about what I should do. I started getting really aggravated with her. She wants to fix something, she can start with getting her bck step fixed before she breaks her neck. The step broke and I am trying to persuade DH he is going to go up there and fix it for her on his next day off, and she's on me about why I am not fixing my driveway - well gee, I am kinda busy spending all of my free time helping some one going through chemo.....

I did get the phone numbers of some of her other friends. I think I will lay the step repair on one of them. I think I need a breather.
