I used it last year for my goats. It was fine. Just a lot to clean out in spring; pro is that big pooped up bedding is great mulch

Personally I think the deep bedding method is a personal choice. I use it in coops with wood floors as for me it makes cleaning out their poop easier and it doesn't stick to the wood. For the coops with dirt floors I let the birds scratch around and all is good. You will find a lot of good information here Good luck with your birds and have fun...
