I can't take any more birds due to my coop size, but I want to send a check to them to help their efforts and to let them know that people can love chickens and ducks just as much as fluffy puppies. They are not just livestock.

A donation's going out in the mail this morning. I made a special chicken card to go with it.

I'm not made of cash, but it's good for me to remember less fortunate chickens when I'm usually so caught up in cutting up grapes and making warm oatmeal for my admittedly ridiculously pampered little Darlings...

Well? Did you get the chickens? How did it go? How are they?

I got em! They look good. i had posted a new topic to report I brought them home but yep they look ok. They gained some weight at the MSPCA so that is better. Tail feathers have to grow back but otherwise good. I am going to post photos sometime in the coming week after I integrate them with everyone . i am working the next 2 nights so won't be for several days. they ar mostly reddish in color and very vocal! ErinM

They are very vocal because they are sreaming for joy that they have a nice new home!!
