i am getting flack for my thermostat setting

We have the thermostat in the basement set at 60. We have a wood stove on the main floor. When the fan kicks on it circulates the warm air from the main floor to the basement.

So no, 60/65 is not too low.

Im cold if the house is set at 71 and I have a hoodie on

Im cold all the time though (except when I sleep.. then I sweat!)
I would probly freeze in your house

But I guess it depends on climate, body type, amount of clothing, and temp outside

Most women are generally colder than men, it's a metabolism thingie.

Make her happy, turn it up a few more degrees - compromise feels warm!

We have a masonry heater which keeps the main area of the house warm most of the time. I sleep on a heated water bed. Aaaaah! Does that feel good on a cold night!

We keep the thermostat at 65 overnight and during the day when no one is home. When I get up in the AM I push it up to 68. After we get ready to leave it goes back down.

When I get home I usually go to 66-67 until I go to bed. No, we don't have a timer, our schedules flucuate too much. Let's see what happens when DH is home all day!
