i am getting flack for my thermostat setting

my thermostat is between 66-75* I roast at any temperature at ... 37-5 days pregnant, so because its programed we don't touch it unless it goes 'wonky'

I'd prefer the range 66-7* but that's killer in FL summer... the AC can only change the temp by 20-30* from outside temp anyway- when it starts running constantly (when its 30* or 100* we re-adjust the program and dress/undress accordingly)

I need a new AC... this one is a ....1994 model!

thats what we set ours at 65!

For years we kept it at 60. Now we have a wood burner, and my wife is in hog heaven. She can keep it as warm as she wants in here. I just keep my window open, and walk around in shorts all day lol.

68* in winter, 78* in the summer, and I love the inbetween times when I don't need either heat or AC. But at 68* the downstairs of our house is quite cold as the thermostat is upstairs. At night we let the temp go down quite a bit. That being said, 60-65 might be cause for divorce in our household. It is too cool for me to do any sitting down kind of chore or actitivity without a blanket. I don't mind a blanket if I'm watching TV or reading but if I'm on the computer or doing any handwork it is too inconvient, and my hands get achy.

Thermostat is set at 70 during the evening and weekends but goes down to 60 during the day and at night. When the wind chill is in the negatives and we have been outside shoveling it gets bumped to 72 for a couple of hours. We have a newer furnace though and it is pretty effecient - helps a lot. Now I have been eyeballing those radiant heater things (they look like a coffee table) - My daughter moved out and the son is moving from his basement bedroom. We could shut the vents in the basement down now and then use one of those by my computer to keep my tootsies warm. - I'm fine with cooler temps as long as my feet aren't cold.

I kept it at 64 a lot of last year but had too many complaints.

We keep it at 68 during the day and 67 at night. *eyeroll*

My DH is a darling though and is always offering to turn it up if he thinks I am cold. I did crank it to 69 a few days when I was battling shingles.
