I am going to do the surgery, please help me out!!!

That's certainly possible. I really don't have enough (any) experience with this so I can't say for sure. Try pm'ing Orpingtonmanor--I *think* she's had to deal with this before and may be able to help you. In the meantime keep on with the supportive care.

Try putting the needle in wherever it feels squishiest, or fluidy. Try moving it around a little while it's in and sucking out anything you can w/the syringe. You may get fluid, blood, serum (yellow), pus (cloudy white or yellow), or just air. just don't go too deep so as not to puncture the intestines, causing Peritonitis (and death). A good knowledge of chicken anatomy helps. Good luck. ~Fattie (former Vet Tech)

I'm so sorry the procedure didnt help anything. I hope someone can give you some advice, I have no idea, I just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you and your hen and I hope she pulls through.

Is she at egg laying age? she may be internal egg laying like the other post said. I wish you could find more help!

It just might be wishful thinking, but she seems to be more alert this morning, more observing less zombie-like staring. Last night I gave her some squished up banana, milk, and antibiotics that you put in water. Maybe that helped, maybe it also helped that she ate so much. I will give her some more today. I also posted this on the poultry site forum here is a link if anyone is interested.
