I live out in a cornfield so I understand the limited hours for the PO and less than the best service. The mail *&^%$ who delivers in my area refuses to leave anything in a big ole tote securely attached to my front porch; installed it because she would always leave one of those notes about missing me and me having to take off early from work to retrieve anything she could not smash and jam into mailbox. Because I have a dog on a chain in the backyard ( 100 feet from front door ) she refuses to leave anything at my front door. You can hear him but can't see him at front door.
I have tried being nice and leaving things in the mailbox for her...cookies, cake, etc. Did no good. Tried speaking to Postmaster about her, that got me no where as well.
So, to make a long story short I try to avoid PO and USPS like the plague. Have to mail a letter I go through another city on my way to work. Send or deliver a package...UPS or fedex...anyone but USPS.
No choice or my choice...I'm old and stubborn enough I make it my choice....
