of course plans have changed since Victoria and Fredrick went to the vet
so far Fredrick has a clean bill of health and is fine so I do plan on getting him a haired female I am looking to get him a hooded girlfriend
Victoria will remain with me as my very spoiled little friend no plans to breed her since vet said her URI could possible keep returning for the rest of her life and I dont want to pass that on to her babies if it is something that can be passed along
I HAD to take them to the vet I could not just leave her to get sicker and possibly die - that was not going to happen with me around
she came to the pet already hurting with that bad eye and I took her on as my pet along with Fredrick so I made the choice to care for them, my DH was giving me a hard time ( in a fun way ) about taking rats to the vet he has never heard of anyone going that far for a rat LOL
he does like them so he would have done the same thing lol
Victoria is fighting me about taking her meds - she keeps turning her head and using her little paws to push away the syringe - rotten girl I end up by getting it all over her face and feet but when she grooms herself she is getting the meds in her anyway LOL
thanks for the advice and I dont think you are coming off mean/rude I have had rats before so I know what to expect from having them - and believe me they will get the best of care and I dont do the over breeding thing I even talked to vet about getting them fixed when I can afford it.
