Again, warning, picture of surgical wound!
Back in May my right ankle blew out and went numb on part of the heel and swelling over the side of the joint.
I finally had surgery at the beginning of August on my ankle for a Tarsal Tunnel Release. Eight days after surgery I went back to the specialist's office and requested they take the bandage off as it was quite sore, too sore for that long after surgery. This is the fifth time my right leg has been cut open for one thing or another.
Bottom line the wound was infected. A few days later it split open. I went to the nearby ER and they said nope, can't be re-stitched up. They wrapped it and sent me on my way. Went back to the specialist .... So it isn't healing well. Now it is in a purple fiber glass cast hoping my foot doesn't go septic.
Prior to splitting open, you can see many of the stitches have already disolved. I'm now 2.5 weeks on antibiotics, YUCK!
Purple prison, it has not been a good summer!
Anyone want to sign my cast?
