All you say is sooooo true - My name is Oesdog - and I am an adict!!! -
It was his fault - yeap HIS FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was ill and HE bought me 6 hens to cheer me up!!!!! 6 HENS !!!!!!!!!!!! Then Dh made a coop - then he said we should make a DELUX coop for our girls. - then it was too small so he got a big shed and made more nesting boxes and added a bigger pen. Then it was toooo big for the chickens. We lost a hen so the very next day he got another one! Then she died and well the pen was too BIG - we needed more we had to have more - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh we bought an incubator and some eggs and had a broody hen on eggs - and now we have 11 - 6 new chicks - 3 are roos so we have to get more Hens !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We NEED more Hens and DH is biulding a second coop to hide the roos behind the garage!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh - Were addicted!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And we joined BYC so there is no hope now ever of us having a yard without chickens - DH said last night you know girl to make chickens viable were gonna need at least 100 birds???? His grasp of chicken math has deffinately improved. I think were gonna have to move house!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or move to the coop and let the hens have the house??????

Oesdog - help I am drowning in chicken poop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My neighbor just offered us more pullets????
I wonder if we can get another coop in the far end of the veggie patch?????
